Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' comes from Argentina. It has compact, round and fresh light green leaves on creeping stalks and creates a fast-growing carpet in the aquarium. The plant can grow in light shadow, but requires good light conditions, as well as CO2 additive, in order to become really compact.

Tissue culture plants should be removed from the cup as soon as possible. All plants grow on some sort of synthetic growing medium, ranging anywhere from liquid to jelly to firm gel. This should be removed and rinsed off. Gently massage the roots between your fingers until the gel dissolves away. Most plants can be broken up into smaller pieces and spread out in your aquarium. Smaller pieces are easier to plant.
ALA is the place to get your plants! Monte Carlo quickly became one of my favorite aquarium plants because of its minimalistic style, carpeting your tank, as well as making it look extremely aesthetic!
I planted Monte Carlo in a few of my shrimp tanks, but due to tons of water changes and water movement some of it popped out of the substrate and ended up decomposing. Most of it survived however, and started to look amazing after waiting for a few weeks. Still waiting on a wonderful carpet to be produced!
Got 2 cultures and immediately filled my 20g in less than two months. Loves CO2 and water changes.
When I got this plant I had only got 2 cups thinking it wasn't even close to enough, but when I got home I started scaping it into my tank and it came out perfect. Even though I thought I needed to get more I had more than enough to cover the scape. Plus the beauty of the plant was clean and ready to go! I'll be coming back for more great plants in the future!!! Thanks!!!!!
I love this plant. I used it as a border to my carpet plant. It arrived very healthy and it was easy to break up and plant. Grows very quickly and isn’t hard to care for. A lot of plant for the price
